Nian Beast Defense
It's New Year's Eve: guard the village gate with firecrackers, drums, red lanterns and couplets, and scare off wave after wave of fierce but cute Nian beasts. They never get hurt, they just run away, dropping red packets.

How to play
- Tap an empty square by the road and pick a tower from the ring: Firecrackers (area scare), Drum (stuns beasts nearby), Red Lantern (its beam pierces a whole line) or Couplets (only by the road, they slow beasts down).
- Beasts can only be scared off: when their courage hits zero they turn and run, dropping red packets you spend on building and upgrading. Tap a tower to upgrade or sell it; selling before the next wave starts refunds everything.
- Every beast that reaches the gate costs you luck; run out and the village falls. Tap Next wave to start early and earn a packet for every second you skip; 2× speed hurries along a level you've already set up.
- Let none through for three stars, then spend stars on the New Year Shelf for lasting boosts. There's also Today's Gate, a new map each day with only two kinds of tower, and the All-Night Vigil, which lasts as long as you do.
