Movable Type Idioms

Drag across four metal type blocks on a glowing light table to set an idiom. It lights up, prints, and new type drops in.

How to play

  1. Hold a type block and drag across four neighbouring blocks (any direction, turns allowed). Release to print.
  2. First to fourth must read as a four-character idiom; backwards does not count. Release early to cancel for free.
  3. Printed blocks vanish and the blocks above drop in. Print again within 4 seconds for a growing combo.
  4. Each new idiom goes into your 300-idiom book, and your rank rises as it fills. Tap the loupe for a hint.
  5. Levels set target idioms and a move limit. The Daily Idiom Chain needs 8 links, each starting with the last character of the one before.
