Long Rope Jump

Two turn the rope while everyone else runs in and jumps. Steady hands, sharp timing: count to a hundred together!

How to play

  1. Lay the phone flat in the middle. Three to six players each take a box and play only in the box in front of them. Two turn the rope; everyone else jumps.
  2. Turners: draw circles with a finger in your box and follow the hollow dot. Keep the same pace: too slow and the rope stops, too far apart and it tangles.
  3. Jumpers: tap your box to jump just before the rope reaches your feet. In run-in games, tap just after the rope lands to run in; in clap games, tap again in the air to clap.
  4. Slip up and you swap with whoever has turned the longest. Reach the team target together to win; the ranking goes by each player's best streak.
  5. It's recess in a Hong Kong school playground: when the bell rings, out comes the long rope and everyone counts out loud together.
