Take turns joining dots. Close a box to claim it, then draw again! The pencil-and-paper classic, on a whiteboard.

How to play

  1. Dots & Boxes is a pencil-and-paper game: take turns drawing a line between two neighbouring dots.
  2. Draw the fourth side of a box to claim it, and then draw again. When every line is drawn, the higher score wins.
  3. Careful: a box's third side lets your opponent claim it. Sooner or later someone must give boxes away, and whoever gives fewer comes out ahead.
  4. Star boxes are worth 2; a mine costs whoever closes it 1 point. Play a friend on one phone, or take on the computer across 30 levels.
